INTRODUCTION

I think I have always loved dogs. Looking back at my early childhood, I can specifically remember a Collie, Golden Retriever and many mixed breeds who I often visited at the homes of family and friends. Later in life, at the age of 18, I lived with a family in Japan, where I grew close to a wonderful Akita named Jiro (which means second son in Japanese).

I've been a photographer, digital printing consultant and educator in New York City for more than five years, and I am currently accepting assignments for photographing people's pets in rather unique ways. I call my website candidcanine.com because my style lends itself to a relaxed, low-stress environment for people and their pets. My approach is one which strives to make images that a family will always remember, utilizing digital SLRs and a range of different lenses and lighting techniques.

Regardless of the package selected, a pet owner will have over 100 photos of their dog to choose from, with the ability to order large prints on semi-gloss and watercolor papers, or even on real stretched canvas.
